Warren's Place
From the inside Warrensplace is quite spacious, not many tables but definitely room for everyone at that time. The music that was played was very relaxing and finally something different to the pop music of today, for a good change Warrensplace played music by Bob Marley!

Warren's Story
My husband and I both ordered the Hawaiian Burger, mine was easily made without cheese! Most of the burgers and dinner options on the menu came with cheese. The Warrensplace chef (his wife) was working right in front of us as we sat at the bar. This made it very easy to ask for a burger without cheese. Warren speaks English, being from the USA, and his wife spoke a little English, but enough to understand my order. (In another article I will describe how to say ''no cheese'' in restaurants). We got our drinks quickly and enjoyed the show, as the kitchen at Warrensplace has an open view.
After a while Warren came to sit next to us as he was using a seat at the bar to rest. Somehow we got to talking to Warren and he told us his story and how the restaurant came about. It turned out that Warren had been homeless for 10 years after serving in the US military. He found his place in Okinawa and started to build a business to support the local food bank. He realised that people who are homeless or struggling to feed themselves and their children are sometimes forgotten by society. His mission is to help all those in need by raising awareness of homelessness and by supporting and raising money for the food bank. Warren and his wife both enjoy making and serving food for others and offering help to those in need.
